Spell-Checker Dictionaries and Thesaurus Files

Important: Do not download any of the following files if you are using NoteTab Light or a trial version of NoteTab Pro/Std! They will not work with those versions of NoteTab.

If you have installed the paid version of NoteTab Pro or Std, you can use any of the following spell-checker dictionaries and thesaurus files without charge.

• Dutch dictionary (size 260 KB)
• Finnish dictionary (size 34 KB)
• French dictionary (size 166 KB)
• German/new dictionary (size 80 KB)
• German dictionary (size 468 KB)

• Polish dictionary (size 414 KB)
• Spanish dictionary (size 418 KB)
• Swedish dictionary (size 171 KB)

The following thesaurus and spell-checker dictionaries are already installed by the full Setup package of NoteTab Pro and Std, but are not included in update packages. Only download these files if you no longer have them.

• Rogets 1911 Public Domain Thesaurus (size 703 KB)
• American dictionary (size 413 KB)
• British dictionary (size 413 KB)

The spell-checker dictionaries provided for use with NoteTab have been compiled and contributed by third-party developers. While copyrighted by their respective authors, they may be freely used with NoteTab.

The thesaurus file is a compiled version of Rogets 1911 Public Domain Thesaurus. It contains over 1000 context topics and 30'000 words. This file is provided for use with NoteTab. It has been compiled and contributed by a third-party developer.

Installation Instructions

Spell-Checker Dictionaries

Just unzip and copy the dictionary file(s) to the "Dictionaries" subfolder under the NoteTab program folder. Then in NoteTab, open the View menu and choose Spell-Checker Options. This will open the Spell Check Configuration dialog box. Click on the Add button in the Main Dictionaries frame. Choose the dictionary you want to install from the File Open dialog box and then click on the Open button. This will add the chosen dictionary to the Main Dictionaries list.

Rogets 1911 Public Domain Thesaurus

Just unzip and copy the thesaurus file to the "Dictionaries" subfolder under the NoteTab program folder. Next time you start NoteTab, you will see the Thesaurus command under the Tools menu.
